KCJ solicitor wins national 'Young Achiever of the Year' Award
Practice area: Injury
Hannah winning Young Achiever Award
Hannah Rutterford, a partner and claimant personal injury specialist at Kester Cunningham John, was this week named 'Young Achiever of the Year' at the national Personal Injury Awards. The Award ceremony was held at the Marriott Hotel in London's Grosvenor Square on Tuesday evening and was attended by around 350 'movers and shakers' from within the injury claims field.
Among the achievements which enabled Hannah to emerge victorious against strong competition were: winning two Court of Appeal cases in the past two years; obtaining some £23 million pounds in compensation for clients since qualifying as a solicitor: and succeeding in obtaining realistic settlements which give people a fighting chance to get their lives properly back on track after a serious injury rather than accepting the lower amounts offered by insurers. Another key factor was her overall approach to client care – always trying to make every client feel as though he or she is her only client – and her passion for obtaining the best possible results.
This accolade comes close on the heels of Kester Cunningham John winning the 'Commitment to Client Care' category at the LawNet awards in October. The Personal Injury team was also shortlisted in the 'Customer Care Plus' category of the Eastern Daily Press Business Awards in 2009, eventually settling for a runner up slot behind worthy winners John Lewis.
Hannah says: "I was thrilled to win this award, not just for myself, my team and my firm but because it is good to be able to help demonstrate that East Anglian business people are at the top of their respective fields".
Simon Smith, Chief Executive at KCJ, adds: "The majority of the work we do sees us competing for business with the other top regional law firms, but our specialist Injury teams and Court of Protection division are competing nationally. We are delighted to have secured a win for the region in a national arena".
