Our online divorce service is likely to be most suited to couples who both agree to divorce and where the proceedings are not likely to be contested by either party. The service consists of several stages which will guide you through the process, culminating in obtaining your Decree Absolute which ends the marriage. This is a cost-effective service, with the benefit of having our expertise to check your documentation and ensure the paperwork will be approved by the court.
If the divorce is likely to be defended by one party, then the online service will not be suitable, but we are happy to support and advise you on a face-to-face basis.
As well as obtaining your divorce, it is important to appreciate that spouses have financial claims against each other that need to be addressed in tandem with the divorce. Although our online divorce service can support you through the divorce process, it will be necessary to obtain direct advice in relation to financial matters. Importantly, you should make sure that your financial arrangements have been agreed by the court before you obtain your Decree Absolute, otherwise your former spouse could be entitled to money you obtain after the divorce is finalised.
