Fiona is Senior Partner of the firm. She is also Head of the Commercial Services Department. According to the Legal 500 2006 her clients express 'high confidence' in her, saying that Fiona is 'competent and pleasant to deal with', adding: 'Compared to other solicitors the responsiveness is exceptional'. Her client list predominantly comprises UK companies and businesses, but she also acts for a number of US corporations and European businesses in their dealings in the UK.
Fiona has assisted Cambridge Colleges with a variety of commercial contracts, including hardware purchase, software licensing, collaboration agreements and catering contracts. The majority of her work is in mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance work, but she also acts for clients in a wide range of commercial matters. These have included exploiting intellectual property and negotiating and drafting commercial agreements – from a Database Licence to the BBC to chartering a ship from Cunard.
Fiona has a reputation as a principled and adept negotiator.
